Diana (Dee) Teem
Development Director

With more than 25 years of dedicated service in public and nonprofit leadership, Diana Teem brings vision, tenacity, and a deep-rooted passion to her role as Development Director at J Bar J Youth Services. Her commitment to youth and families stems not only from her professional focus, but also from her personal experience as a former Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program—one of J Bar J’s cornerstone initiatives.

Diana’s career has been defined by her ability to lead and develop impactful resources for youth and family programs, from workforce development to community health and outreach efforts. In previous leadership positions—including Executive Director at the Olalla Center and Community Relations & Development Director at the Community Services Consortium—she built and sustained programs across Lincoln, Benton, and Linn counties in Oregon, consistently focusing on underserved populations, families in crisis, and inclusive community health services.

Her leadership extends into the realm of public service: she served two terms as an Oregon State Commissioner with Oregon Volunteers—the State Commission on Voluntary Action and Service—as well as contributing her expertise on the Workforce Investment Board and the State Public Health Modernization Committee. These roles underscore her strategic engagement in shaping statewide efforts in volunteerism, workforce readiness, and public health policy.

Diana earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and pursued graduate studies in Public Health at the University of Wyoming, grounding her career in a strong foundation of service, health, and community development.

Outside of work, Diana enjoys the outdoors and cherishes time with family. Whether hiking in the mountains, walking along the coast, or exploring new trails with her husband and their dog, Lucy, she finds joy and balance in nature.

In her capacity as Development Director, Diana is poised to strengthen J Bar J’s philanthropic foundation. She cultivates relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners to ensure sustainable support for critical programs like Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Cascade Youth & Family Center, Grandma’s House, and others that guide youth toward resilience and success.
