Education Program

Empowering Students. Transforming Futures.
The J Bar J Learning Center is an accredited alternative education program registered with the Oregon Department of Education and partnered with the Bend-La Pine School District. As part of a comprehensive residential treatment program, our students live on-site and receive a blend of therapeutic support and academic instruction tailored to their unique needs.

We are proud to offer an innovative, project-based and proficiency-based learning model that not only meets State of Oregon academic standards but also encourages creativity, resilience, and real-world problem solving. Our goal is to prepare students for success—whether in further education, employment, or personal growth.

At the heart of our program is the belief in educating the whole student—academically, socially, and emotionally. We cultivate critical thinking, high-level learning, and a growth mindset within a supportive, structured environment. Our small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratio ensure personalized attention and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Our team of dedicated, qualified educators and support staff work collaboratively to inspire confidence, responsibility, and independence in every student, helping them find their path forward in a changing global community.
